HeadlessBuddha Samples Old Harpsych KONTAKT
The Old Harpsych is an amazing Harpsichord sample library for Kontakt 5 recorded through some nice mics and custom tube preamps directly into worn tape for some warmth and saturation. This one was made in the Netherlands in the 40s and has 3 stops. It’s almost a replica of a well known French model manufactured during the 17th century and sounds great. But don’t take my word for granted and have a listen above.

Every aspect of Box Of Tricks has been shaped by Imogen Heap.

An exclusive selection of her instruments, sampled in detail and with custom scripts, effects, and tools; all designed the way she wanted to use them.
Box Of Tricks has already been beta-tested in Imogens live performances and studio projects: a process that helped generate ideas and refine the instruments.
From an initial idea about a free Heap instrument, to the final result, 3 years later; Box Of Tricks is a truly extraordinary collaboration.

Included with Cocktail Kit and Vocal + Body Percussion Kit
An exciting way to generate complex beats, based on Euclidean mathematics.
No matter how many steps or hits in each individual pattern, they will always be evenly spaced across the bar.
Assign some controllers and jam: you can't put a beat wrong.

Imogen's most famous instrument, her 5-octave Array Mbira. Imogen wanted to be able to play this as you would in real life, with 2 sets of notes mirrored for right and left hand. We also developed for her a strum device that strums as many notes as you choose, over any chosen key velocity.

Box of Tricks features convolution reverbs sampled from Imogens house.

Wavelore XpanDrum KONTAKT-VON.G Wavelore XpanDrum KONTAKT-VON.G
Soft / VST Instruments 31-10-2015
Wavelore Xpan-Drum ($89.99) is our newest product for Native Instruments Kontakt. Featuring up to 16-way round-robin samples, Xpan-Drum is a collection of four sampled hand drums, each expandable to as many as four drums per MIDI channel. Each drum uses extensive Kontakt scripting to allow user-definable humanization of the ensemble's performance, including tuning, timing, dynamics, panning, and volume of each "virtual" layer. In addition to these features, we've added intelligent round-robin (surpassing the effectiveness of Kontakt's default behavior), voice conservation for efficient performance, keyswitching for realtime ensemble size control, and two "repetition keys" for fast repetitions without having to strike the same key repeatedly.
Wavelore Clavichord v1.0 KONTAKT-VON.G Wavelore Clavichord v1.0 KONTAKT-VON.G
Soft / VST Instruments 31-10-2015
The Wavelore Clavichord ($179.99) (Kontakt 4 and higher) is the world's first deeply sampled and programmed virtual clavichord. This rare and beautiful keyboard instrument was a favorite of renaissance and barouque composers, as well as a popular practice instrument for organists (it's extremely quiet!), though it fell into relative obscurity starting around the early nineteenth century. In the twentieth century, it's best known, perhaps, in the form of its electronic offspring, the Hohner Clavinet, which we all know to be one the funkyiest sounding instruments on record. See Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" for a well known example.

The clavichord is considered by some to be the most intimate of keyboard instruments, mostly due to the fact that the player's fingers are more directly in contact with the strings; The most unique aspect of its construction is that it allows the player to rock his or her finger on a key, producing a vibrato effect, or "bebung"...poly aftertouch well before its time!

The Wavelore Clavichord faithfully reproduces all the defining and unique capabilites of its acoustic namesake, while also adding certain capabilities. See below for full feature list.

Instrument Features:

6 velocity layers, with 8-way polyphonic (true) round robin programming for all notes and release samples, allowing convincing performance of any passage...trills are especially fun :)

Intimate malleable sound, close mic'ed samples and stereo impulse reponses for enhanced cabinet resonance.

Characteristic release samples, accurately reflecting tangent buzz - adjustable in volume with carefully programmed decay-matching (so release samples don't "pop").

Configurable Keynoise samples for all notes, including a wide array of control options for performance detection. Of course, you can also just shut 'em off!

A dozen temperaments suitable for modern and period music: Equal, Pythagorean, and a variety of meantone and circulating temperaments.

Optional octave/unison string coupling with fine de-tuning control over each string of each key. This feature also allows the use and adjustment of "tangent slope", or the tendency of either member of a string pair to sound later than the other, based on the angle or "slope" of the tangent's edge. Together these controls can greatly enrich the instrument's sound, or even be used to simulate an instrument in varying stages of disrepair!

Ability to apply vibrato to only the last note played using an assignable MIDI controller, and including optional randomization of vibrato width and speed for a more "human" effect than typical LFO-based vibratos. Also includes an optional multiscript that allows the use of polyphonic aftertouch for true "bebung" technique.

"Electric" or "Acoustic" mode: Apply a variety of cabinet or amp resonances, as well as optional, keyswitchable wah, distortion, compression, and reverb.

MIDI Learn mode for all assignable controls.

A feature-rich, dynamic performance view with nine pages of clearly organized and intuitive controls for tweaking the instrument to your taste and style.
Carefully chosen factory settings to allow unsurpassed out-of-the-box playability.

A detailed 22-page user guide .pdf including a quick start guide and detailed info on operation.

Forgotten Keys FK9 Hammond Auto-Vari 28 V.4.2 KONTAKT Forgotten Keys FK9 Hammond Auto-Vari 28 V.4.2 KONTAKT
Soft / VST Instruments 30-08-2015
This Hammond AutoVari rhythm unit was originally built into an old old Hammond Dolphin organ from the 1970s. Although it only had 7 rhythm buttons, each one had 4 variations so there were 28 rhythms in all. The unit itself included circuitry and controls for the organs auto-accompaniment section but no circuit diagrams or schematics were available to see how to access it.

The FK9 includes isolated samples of the 7 analogue sounds of the AutoVari. Each sound has been sampled 8 times and is chosen randomly within Kontakt. They are, or course, accessible via a keyboard or DAW sequencer also. The sounds are in 24-bit 44.1KHz wav format.

Each of the 28 rhythm patterns have been re-created for Kontakt. They are not sampled loops, rather they are sequences that trigger the individual sound samples when needed. This is how a real drum machine works, only here we use samples instead of a sound generator circuit.

The Setup tab offers greater control over how the FK9 sounds and operates. There are volume, pan and tune controls for each sound. Incoming MIDI notes can be mapped to any rhythm. Random tune and volume controls add a little human element to the sounds.

Here’s what the AutoVari looked like inside. There was no case of course as it was enclosed by the organ cabinet. Some of the controls you see here were for the organs auto-accompaniment section.
