PSPaudioware PSP 2445 v1.0.0 MAC OSX
PSP 2445 is a reverb processor plug-in (VST, AAX and RTAS for Windows; AudioUnit, VST, AAX and RTAS for Mac OSX) inspired by two legendary early digital age reverberators: the EMT® 244 and the EMT® 245.

SP thoroughly researched how to bring the specific features of those simple, yet very musical sounding reverbs to life as a plug-in. We then improved from the originals with a handy set of parameters to control details of the sound and mix the reverb not available in the original hardware. The PSP 2445 is capable of processing using one selected engine or both of them simultaneously.

Once again PSP have created a plugin that I'm sure will become your "Go To" reverb effect. I've not played with the hardware version for many years, but after 5 minutes the sound was immediately familiar - it's sonic character sits comfortably between the best Spring Reverbs and the plates & chambers that are today's common production tools. I'm very keen on the very short "ambience" that you can easily create. They seem to add a live space to enhance voices and drums. With the superb PSP SpringBox and now the new PSP 2445 really are making some superb verbs.

Eventide 2016 Stereo Room v2.1.5 WIN-AudioUTOPiA Eventide 2016 Stereo Room v2.1.5 WIN-AudioUTOPiA
THE LEGENDARY REVERB ALGORITHM OF EVENTIDE'S SP2016

Long used as an essential reverb for mixing hit records, the Eventide SP2016, while long discontinued, is still in use in places like Ocean Way. Creating a reverb algorithm is part art and part science.

The science bit is all about the naturalness of the sound - whether the simulation convincingly conveys the "feel" of a real room.

Some digital reverbs don't have the horsepower to run a sufficiently complex program to achieve "naturalness." Without enough processing power the effect will suffer from low echo density or unnatural density growth with time or comb filter effects, etc. As Einstein is alleged to have said "things should be as simple as possible, but no simpler." This principle certainly applies to reverb algorithms.

The art of reverb algorithm design begins with simulating a 'room' that actually sounds good. Needless to say, rooms exist in the real world that sound awful. The structure of the reverb algorithm combined with the choices of delay lengths, interconnects, filter placement, early reflections, etc. all contribute to the overall sound. The final element of the art of reverb design is the designer's choice of the ways in which, and the extent to which, the artist/engineer/producer is permitted to modify the effect. What are the parameters and what do they do?

The degrees of freedom available to the designer guaranty that no two (sufficiently complex) reverb algorithms will sound the same. Each will be unique. There are a number of popular digital reverberators for good reason. Each has a distinctive sound, each has a particular set of possibilities. The SP2016 reverbs have attracted a loyal user base because of a particular blend of art and science. They sound natural. They sound distinctive. And, although they allow the user to vary the effect dramatically, the controls can't be set in such a way as to create an unnatural sounding effect - this is a good thing.

The algorithms naturally simulate every aspect of the sound of a real enclosure - from the complex early reflections, to the natural way in which the echo density increases with time, to the smooth Gaussian decay of the reverb tail. A powerful simulation that lends itself to parametric control - a good thing indeed.

ValhallaPlate is our algorithmic take on the classic plate reverberation sound. Seven original algorithms emulate the sound and behavior of real world steel plate reverbs, and take the sound into dimensions that physical plates can't touch.

ValhallaPlate is true stereo, emulating a steel plate that has 2 input drivers and 2 output pickups. It can be run as a mono-in/mono-out, mono-in/stereo-out, or stereo-in/stereo-out plugin.
ValhallaPlate realistically models the physics of plate reverbs:
High diffusion, for reverbs that have maximally high echo density.
Frequency dependent decay time, for huge lows and clear highs, under the control of a single Decay parameter.
Dispersion, for creating 3D imaging in the decay. The reverb comes from outside the speakers, and decays into the depths behind the speakers.
ValhallaPlate extends the plate reverb into dimensions that real plates can’t reach:
Variable size, to control how metallic a reverb mode sounds. Small sizes result in more metallic delays, while larger sizes sound clearer.
Lush modulation, that eliminates any metallic artifacts, while retaining the pitch of the input.
Seven original reverberation algorithms:
Four reverb modes (Chrome, Steel, Brass, Cobalt) that model the resonance density found in real plate reverberators.
Three additional reverb modes (Aluminum, Copper, Unobtanium) that combine the 3D dispersive characteristics of steel plates with the high resonance density found in reverberation chambers.
ValhallaPlate builds upon the Valhalla DSP plugin heritage:
Minimalist, resizable 2D GUI, with self-documenting tool tip area.
A comprehensive preset browser makes saving, recalling and sharing settings easy.
Fully compatible with 32 and 64 bit DAWs (32/64 bit VST for OSX and Windows, 32/64 bit Audio Units for OSX, 32-bit RTAS for OSX and Windows, 64-bit AAX for OSX and Windows).

Reverberate 2 is a modulated true-stereo hybrid convolution reverb audio processor for Mac and PC. Using a unique mix of advanced signal processing technology it creates a unique rich and dynamic reverb with unrivalled sonic capabilities.

Introducing Fusion-IRs
Reverberate 2 introduces Fusion-IRs, an innovative approach to convolution reverb creating a lively, organic reverberation that is impossible to achieve with traditional static convolution.

Fusion-IR processing captures the evolving character of time-varying reverbs using multiple true-stereo reverb streams that are processed simultaneously. The inputs to the convolution streams are modulated and the outputs fused into a rich, captivating space that mixes effortlessly with your music.

Fusion-IRs contain separately sampled early and late reverb components for a level of mix control never before found in convolution reverbs or sample packs.

Creative Convolution
By using a modulated mix of two separately controllable true stereo or Fusion-IRs incredibly musical and convincing reverbs are possible far surpassing traditional convolution plugins.

Further modulation is possible using post-processing effects including an all-pass interpolator chorus, modulated delay, modulated EQ and separately controllable early / late reverb pitch modulators.

Comprehensive Effects
Pre-convolution effects include dedicated time-varying equalisers to control how an EQ develops as a reverb tail progresses. Split early/late pitch modulation can provide a spin and wander modulation effect to the early and late components of a reverb.
