Hollow Sun Tubelitzer KONTAKT
Most people are familiar with the Wurlitzer EP200A but Wurlitzer were making electric pianos back in the 50s starting with the Model 110 in 1954. The company was set up by Rudolph Wurlitzer in 1854 and it imported acoustic pianos into America. In 1908 they were manufacturing organs and in 1935, they made a compact spinet acoustic piano which was very successful as it could fit into the smaller houses and apartments at the time.
What we have here is the Model 120 as used by Ray Charles on his hit, "What I'd Say" (a 120 was also featured in the biopic 'Ray').
The mechanical principles with Wurlitzer electric pianos are pretty much the same between models (and very similar to Rhodes pianos - a hammer striking a tuned 'tine' ... and it is said that Harold Rhodes actually advised Wurlitzer's deisgner/engineer, Ben Meissner, how to achieve stability with the tines) but the difference between the early models and the EP200A we are more familiar with is that up until the early 60s, the internal circuitry was tube/valve-based giving a mellower, warmer sound and doesn't 'bark' as aggressively as the later models.
The 120 we have here is such a model. Each note has been painstakingly sampled chromatically by Hollow Sun friend, Christohopher Reis, who owns the orginal 120, with up to 27 velocity layers per note and release samples. A mammoth task on which Christopher has acquitted himself more than admirably. All samples are full length with no loops so you hear the actual sound of the original instrument 'breathing', warts, blemishes, grunts and all!
There were various cases used in the range over time and we've modelled our Kontakt instrument's graphics on a funky surf blue customised cabinet that was done....
We've also taken a liberties with functionality...
We've added tremolo (which the later EP200As had but the 120 didn't), allowed control of release noise, a balance control for tempering the bass end with the high frequencies and we've also added the facility to have a pseudo-stereo keyboard.
There are also a variety of velocity curves to choose from (plus you can save your own custom curves) and it comes with presets (again - you can save your own).
And for a bit of of authentic silliness, you can disable the earth link to add mains hum and switch between a 'restored' version (where the samples have been tweaked a little) and an 'original' version (where the samples are raw ... but the difference is subtle, to be honest).
And it comes with a tidy little pedal board of stomp box FX...
Featuring distortion and cab simulation, chorus, phase shifter, rotary speaker, echo and reverb (convolution), many popular Wurli sounds can be created and stored as presets.
This is a unique electric piano library featuring quite a rare Wurlitzer electric piano. It's a mellower, warmer Wurli than maybe we've become accustomed to over the years and doesn't have that characteristic 'Supertramp bark', falling instead somewhere between a Rhodes and the EP200A most people are probably familiar with. But above all, because of its vintage, it is wonderfully 'warty' and flawed and deserves a place in any electric piano aficiando's collection.
My thanks to Christopher Reis for the meticulous sampling of his instrument and to Mario Krušelj for scriptmeistering beyond the call of duty.

Togu Audio Line Sampler v1.5.1 WiN/MAC
TAL-Sampler is not just a sample player. It's a full featured analog modeled synthesizer with a sampler engine as sound source, including a powerful modulation matrix and a high quality self-oscillating 24/12/6 dB low pass filter.
Don't expect a 40GB piano sample library with samples for every velocity or something similar. The idea is to bring back the fun sampling was in the good old times with small samples, fast loading times and an intuitive work-flow to create your own sample presets without getting lost in the settings.
It's possible to choose between different digital analog converters (DAC's) to get the vintage sound of different hardware samplers inside your DAW. We don't make cheap bit crushing or decimation on the output signal. We really down-sample the sample to the desired sampling frequency, then process the data depending on the chosen DAC and up-sample it to the desired pitch. Most DAC modes offer a LEVEL slider. This feature allows the user to reduce the volume of the recorded sample and decreases the sample quality. Load your favorite high quality sample and make it sound vintage and noisy. The 24dB low pass filter will like it!
Following diagram shows the signal flow if you choose the DAC Emu II mode:
The plug-in has four layers an can play four samples simultaneous. There is also a simple SFZ import for samples that imports the mapping and sample paths, but the plug-in also contains an easy to use mapping editor.
TAL-Sampler is available in the VST, Audio Unit and AAX plug-in format. You can load and play your own samples in every common sample format (*.wav, *.aiff, *.aif, *.mp3, *.ogg, *.flac). Import samples with drag & drop from finder or explorer. There is also an intuitive sample browser that helps to find samples fast.
Some nice additions like a vintage real-time time stretcher and the possibility to modulate or automate the sample loop positions.
Vintage DAC modes (Emu II, AM6070, Sample Hold).
Steep 96dB low-pass reconstruction filter (Emu II and AM6070 F).
Variable sample rate.

Wavelore Clavichord v1.0 KONTAKT-VON.G
The Wavelore Clavichord ($179.99) (Kontakt 4 and higher) is the world's first deeply sampled and programmed virtual clavichord. This rare and beautiful keyboard instrument was a favorite of renaissance and barouque composers, as well as a popular practice instrument for organists (it's extremely quiet!), though it fell into relative obscurity starting around the early nineteenth century. In the twentieth century, it's best known, perhaps, in the form of its electronic offspring, the Hohner Clavinet, which we all know to be one the funkyiest sounding instruments on record. See Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" for a well known example.
The clavichord is considered by some to be the most intimate of keyboard instruments, mostly due to the fact that the player's fingers are more directly in contact with the strings; The most unique aspect of its construction is that it allows the player to rock his or her finger on a key, producing a vibrato effect, or "bebung"...poly aftertouch well before its time!
The Wavelore Clavichord faithfully reproduces all the defining and unique capabilites of its acoustic namesake, while also adding certain capabilities. See below for full feature list.
6 velocity layers, with 8-way polyphonic (true) round robin programming for all notes and release samples, allowing convincing performance of any passage...trills are especially fun :)
Intimate malleable sound, close mic'ed samples and stereo impulse reponses for enhanced cabinet resonance.
Characteristic release samples, accurately reflecting tangent buzz - adjustable in volume with carefully programmed decay-matching (so release samples don't "pop").
Configurable Keynoise samples for all notes, including a wide array of control options for performance detection. Of course, you can also just shut 'em off!
A dozen temperaments suitable for modern and period music: Equal, Pythagorean, and a variety of meantone and circulating temperaments.
Optional octave/unison string coupling with fine de-tuning control over each string of each key. This feature also allows the use and adjustment of "tangent slope", or the tendency of either member of a string pair to sound later than the other, based on the angle or "slope" of the tangent's edge. Together these controls can greatly enrich the instrument's sound, or even be used to simulate an instrument in varying stages of disrepair!
Ability to apply vibrato to only the last note played using an assignable MIDI controller, and including optional randomization of vibrato width and speed for a more "human" effect than typical LFO-based vibratos. Also includes an optional multiscript that allows the use of polyphonic aftertouch for true "bebung" technique.
"Electric" or "Acoustic" mode: Apply a variety of cabinet or amp resonances, as well as optional, keyswitchable wah, distortion, compression, and reverb.
MIDI Learn mode for all assignable controls.
A feature-rich, dynamic performance view with nine pages of clearly organized and intuitive controls for tweaking the instrument to your taste and style.
Carefully chosen factory settings to allow unsurpassed out-of-the-box playability.
A detailed 22-page user guide .pdf including a quick start guide and detailed info on operation.

Crypto Cipher Tabla Tarang
Extinct Art of India – Tabla Tarang
Please Note : Tabla Tarang Library/Instruments works with Native Instruments Kontakt 5.4.2 or Higher (Full Version).Free Players works for 30 minutes.
You already heard the "Magical Sound of Tabla” in our previous release which was performed by master tabla artist ” Jagannath Singh”. we have already discussed the effect of black ink spot on tabla which makes this instrument capable of producing one note higher than the main pitched note (Psyco-acoustic issue).
Magical Sound Of 13 unique hand made "Tablas”
There are many Tuned Percussion Instruments available in the market. We can say market is quite saturated but here is the extinct art of India "Tabla Tarang”. Most of the people in India have heard about this instrument but have not seen any performance happening live. Sadly , Authentic playing is no more seen.
Solo Tabla Tarang
"Tarang” means waves. Many hand made tabla drums are tuned separately by hitting hammer on the rim of tabla according to "Raga” and all tabla drums are placed in semicircular positions covering lower bass tabla from left to higher pitched tabla towards right. Each tabla has its own character and the melodies are produced by hitting hands on the centre of tabla. Black Ink spot produce a unique sound and when artist perform any emotional raga using these different-different tabla it sounds exotic.
Its bit sad to say that this art is almost not seen in India nowadays.Pandit Kamalesh Maitra has some of his performances on youtube which can be searched by his name.
Crypto Cipher Solo Tabla Tarang
Recreating this art was adventurous and fun. We teamed up with tabla artist and tabla makers and discussed the plan and finally we have sampled 13 tabla drums not with just the magical black ink spot sound but also the two other tuned sounds "Ta” and "Tin” ,which are produced by hitting at the rim/chanti and middle portion/maidan of tabla drum.
So we have three main tuned sounds "Ta” "Tin” and "Tun” mapped across the keyboard. Mixing all three sound make the instrument so special as never heard before.
We recreated this instrument for Modern music composers and recorded almost 15,000 samples with three mic types (Ribbon , Dynamic , Condensor). Also with the powerful scripted technology we pushed the capability of the instrument to next level. We have legato and drum articulation section which will help composers to play the instrument in more advance ways.
Tabla Tarang Authentic Playing Technique
We recommend you to see artwork made by Kirti Taneja for "Tabla Tarang” to understand the instrument( Artist sits in the middle and place tabla in semicircular position creating a keyboard layout). All tabla are tuned manually by hitting hammer on tabla according to Raga which artist is going to perform.
Artist can hit maximum two drums at a time producing one stroke from each hand at once (Human capability).Example : Artist cannot play "Ta and Tin” "Tin or Tun” at the same time on same drum but can hit Ta on one drum and Tin on other drum at same time. Same concept for other strokes.
In other words Tabla Tarang artist can produce only two notes harmony at max as again he has two hands and one hand produce one stroke at a time. Its not like piano . (In piano you can hit 5 notes at a time with one hand and 5 other from other hand maximum).
So, most of the time the arrangement of these tablas are used as solo melodic tuned instrument.
Its not necessary to play Tabla Tarang in authentic way , you can play the instrument in other ways you want .
Applications – Ideas
You can do sound design stuff with these variety of samples and create texture you never created before . This instrument can be layered with other sounds. It can be a part of your main background theme of movie as its character is so unique.
You can try soft samples of tun articulation to create very emotional and heart touching melodies and on the other side you can have aggressive punchiness of "Ta” and "Tin” Sounds.
You can use this instrument into your drum track to create fillers etc. There are many applications just play the instrument and see what inspires you.
Top Rack "Tune” and "ADSR” is for each key , which helps fine tuning for each Drum/key
C-2 key (legato on) – You can also put it on from the UI
C#-2 key (legato off) – You can also put it off from the UI
