GuitarMasterClass: Metal Essentials Riff #1 GuitarMasterClass: Metal Essentials Riff #1
Soft / Video Lessons 1-11-2015
Welcome to the Metal Essentials - Riffs #1 lesson! When most of players hear the magic word "metal", they immedtiately think of palm muting and one direction picking (downpicking). Here's a bite of those metal essentials. Detune your 6th string to D (keep other strings in standard tuning). Touch low strings with your soft part of the right palm. Spend some time to find a sweet spot moving your palm just around 1 inch left and right across the strings. Proper palm muting should have very short sustain, a lot of percussive sound and that specific low boost, right after the hit. From the other side if You move your hand too far to the left, your sound will stay percussive, but will loose an information of what notes are being played, and will loose some of the low boost as well. You also need to find a sweet spot of palm pressure to the strings.

Make sure to use bridge pickup position. It's recommended to have humbucker pickup - it handles more distortion with less noise and it's much more tight/focused in the midrange.

Proper amount of gain (only as much as necessary) will be crucial to keep things clear and tight. Too much gain will destroy good separation between notes, and will make the whole riffing more blurry. Too much gain can cause less effort from player himself, and will affect the overall profit, that could have been taken from the lesson. Learn the roots of metal guitar playing, inspired by 90's metal bands, like Pantera, Megadeth nad partially hard rock band - Disturbed.

Soft / Video Lessons 6-09-2015
Learn to make music like the top producers in today's music industry.

This course is the ultimate guide to create a hip-hop beat for the club. We start from scratch and move through every detail of every step needed to make a professionally sounding record.

We begin by going over recommended music gear to be used in the studio when producing modern music. We will cover both hardware and software and what to look for in each to adapt to your needs.

We move on to learning what qualities to look for in the sounds for each instrument, including the synth, bass, kick, clap, and hi-hat. This section is really important because knowing what types of sounds to use can either make or break you as a producer.

The next topic is song structure. We go over a brief history then lay out the top 5 most popular song structures used today.

We move on to building both the melodic foundation for the synth and bass as well as a detailed approach of how to build the rhythm section. We go bar by bar and explain how to use both melodic and rhythmic variation to keep your listeners interested and to create movement within the record.

We then end the course with some final touches and tips & tricks of what to do after your record is created to get it played in the club.

This course is for the producer that has some experience but wants to understand the details of every step of the production process so that they have more creative control of both their productions and their career.
