8DIO The New Epic Toms Ensemble KONTAKT
The New Epic Toms Ensemble is the most comprehensive and deep-sampled collection of large-scale Epic Toms Ensemble on the market. The library is a completely remastered, redesigned and reprogrammed edition of our original Epic Toms Ensemble. The New Epic Toms Ensemble contains over 2.400 samples, built-in articulation browser, internal step-sequencer, front-face FX, textural convolutions and our newest 3.4 Chaos Engine.

Epic Toms Ensemble VST is a large multi-sample library dedicated to massive ensemble percussion. We captured a variety of power articulations, using a combination of high-tuned 10? – 14? toms, roto-toms and octabans, various floor toms, bass drums and custom designed mega-toms. Perfect for raging battle scenes or when you just need a really loud boom. We highly recommend trying it with our New Epic Dhol Ensemble, New Epic Frame Drums and Small Epic Percussion. All extensively recorded by some of the very best percussionists* in the world, in a high-ceiling glass, stone and tile hall specifically designed for sample recording.

Even though these instruments were all recorded naturally wet for realism and maximum audio quality in our epic recording hall, we have also incorporated advanced programming into every instrument patch that allows you to precisely and realistically shape the decay of the room reverberation with the mod-wheel. This allows custom "room control” shaping, all the way from massive hall down to small drum room.

The New Epic Taiko Ensemble is the most comprehensive and deep-sampled collection of large-scale Epic Taiko Ensembles on the market. The library is a completely remastered, redesigned and reprogrammed edition of our original Epic Taiko Ensemble. The New Epic Taiko Ensemble contains over 2.900 samples, two microphone positions, built-in articulation browser, internal step-sequencer, front-face FX, textural convolutions and our newest 3.4 Chaos Engine.

The New Epic Taiko Ensemble features the highly renowned Taiko Ensemble group: Emeryville Taiko lead by master, Susan Horn. The recordings lasted over a week, which allowed us to capture an unprecedented amount of content. Epic Taiko Ensemble contains four main categories of samples: Multi-sampled Taiko Ensemble (10 round robin for all articulations), Live Loops of the Taiko Ensemble and an assortment of other sounds associated to Taiko (ex. ensemble screams, yells, yell-hits, percussive cannon (Tekkan) and presets.

Epic Taiko Ensemble follows the same principles established in our other epic percussion libraries in terms of articulations, velocity layering and round robin. Articulations have up to 8 velocity layers and all sampled at 10 round robin (aka repetitions). We sampled all the classic Taiko drums from the big sounding, O-Daiko, Nagado Daiko to the smaller and more snare like, Shime. In addition we also played the drums with hands and alternative stick types – and we got the most comprehensive collection of clacks made with different type of sticks and by hitting the rims of the larger Taiko drums.

In addition we also recorded a comprehensive amount of ensemble loops with the Taiko Ensemble. The loops were recorded at 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130 and 140 BPM. The loops are intended to be used as stand-alone and/or in combination with the multi-samples. The loops contain both classic Taiko style rhythms and more contemporary rhythms for film scoring etc.

The library was recorded in the same signature hall used for our Solo Taiko Drum and Epic Frame Drums. We highly recommend purchasing both Epic Taiko Ensemble and Solo Taiko Drum, since they use the same drums, microphone perspectives and gives you the necessary depth to create completely realistic Taiko performances. The two libraries were recorded in the same Cathedral environment. Solo Taiko Drums contains over 4.200 samples – coverering the entire Taiko family from Daiko’s to Shime’s – with over 60 different articulations.

The New Epic Frame Drum Ensemble is the most comprehensive and deep-sampled collection of large-scale Epic Framedrum Ensembles on the market. The library is a completely remastered, redesigned and reprogrammed edition of our original Epic Framedrum Ensemble. The New Epic Framedrum Ensemble contains over 2.500 samples, ensemble and solo frame drums, more then 1000 ensemble loops, built-in articulation browser, internal step-sequencer, front-face FX, textural convolutions and our newest 3.4 Chaos Engine.

The New Epic Framedrum Ensemble contains deep sampled Irish Bodhran drums, North African Tar drums, Egyptian Riqs, Persian Dafs and North American tribal drums. We captured them in a large A-frame chapel for an authentic, naturally massive sound that no artificial algorithmic or convolution reverb can truly simulate. We recorded them in small chamber (divisi) sections and full ensemble groupings and covering both traditional and expanded playing styles and articulations.

This library is ideal for powerful epic scoring and any composition that calls for massive sounding percussion. We also captured a huge bonus collection of +1.100 BPM-based performance loops (80-140 BPM). The loops include automatic tempo-syncing functionality that allows them to be matched to a fairly wide range of custom project tempos. This library is designed to work with other of frame drum library, solo frame drums, which is a deep-sampled assortments of solo frame drums.

The Frame Drum represents one of the most widespread and versatile families of drums – with a history crossing through ancient Middle East, India, Rome and through a variety of Islamic cultures. The Frame Drum defined by the simple characteristic that the width of the drumhead is greater then its depth, but besides from that the Frame Drum comes in thousands of variations. It is known for its distinct sustained sound and its multi-resonant qualities.

The Frame Drum is traditionally tuned with straps or lugs, while others are permanently set at a fixed pitch. Many also incorporate beads, rattles, cymbals, jingles, rings, bells, snares or other accessories, to augment the primary sound and add specialized auxiliary articulations. Some are played with hands, while others use thin sticks, thick bones, soft mallets, combs, brushes and other specialized tools to produce a huge range of unique musical tones and effects. Some members of the Frame Drum family may even lack a striking head and rely entirely on rattles or other elements to produce their sound.

Vir2 Instruments Cinematic Thunder Epic Orchestral Toms KONTAKT MAGNETRiXX Vir2 Instruments Cinematic Thunder Epic Orchestral Toms KONTAKT MAGNETRiXX
We are proud to present Cinematic Thunder: Epic Orchestral Toms. Recorded in a large concert hall in central California from three mic positions for complete flexibility, Cinematic Thunder delivers an epic sound. From soft and warm to big and bombastic, Cinematic Thunder is an absolute and indispensable production tool.

Cinematic Thunder contains four master patches: Solo Sticks, Solo Mallets, Group Hits and Group Random. The master patches are the natural sound as they were recorded. Each master patch has a corresponding "Slam" patch. The slam versions have a bigger, more aggressive sound that is perfect for your next trailer or action cue.

Each drum in the "Solo” patches has left and right hand hits, flams, 3-stroke ruffs, 5-stroke ruffs, and rolls. There are also combo hits in the highest octave. The Combo hits consist of two toms being struck simultaneously. We sampled hits from highest pairs to lowest. In other words, 8”&10” toms, 10”&12” toms, 12”&14” toms, 14”&16” toms, and 16”&18” toms.

Each drum in the "Group Hits” patch has left and right hand hits, and flams. Like the "Solo” patches, there are also combo hits in the highest octave. The "Group Random” patch is a great patch for adding big accents, it contains only single hits and flams played at maximum volume (fff).

Cinematic Thunder is powered by the industry-leading Kontakt engine. It is compatible with VST, AudioUnit, AAX (Pro Tools 10 & 11) and RTAS (Pro Tools 9 & 10) plug-in formats allowing it to work seamlessly within any major sequencer, in addition to standalone use.

Wavesfactory BlackToms 2.0 KONTAKT Wavesfactory BlackToms 2.0 KONTAKT
BlackToms 2.0 is a percussion sample library for NI Kontakt 4.2.4 and above.
It features 3 sets of drum toms: high, mid and low.

In this new version we added up to 21 tom layers, new script, interface and 2 microphone positions.

Use the "sub" knob to add a sub-octave layer for a deep taiko sound. The goal of this library is to offer the best sounding epic toms recorded in a dry studio. Most of the epic percussion libraries on the market have embedded in them the reverb of the hall they were recorded in, reverb that you can't get rid of and, if you want to use your own reverb you have to apply reverb to a reverbered signal which is not a good idea. But you won't have this problem with BlackToms 2.0.
