8Dio Solo Frame Drums KONTAKT
8Dio Solo Frame Drums KONTAKT
8DIO Solo Frame Drum represents one of the most widespread and versatile families of drums – with a history crossing through ancient Middle East, India, Rome and through a variety of Islamic cultures. The Frame Drum defined by the simple characteristic that the width of the drumhead is greater then its depth, but besides from that the Frame Drum comes in thousands of variations. It is known for its distinct sustained sound and its multi-resonant qualities.

The Frame Drum is traditionally tuned with straps or lugs, while others are permanently set at a fixed pitch. Many also incorporate beads, rattles, cymbals, jingles, rings, bells, snares or other accessories, to augment the primary sound and add specialized auxiliary articulations. Some are played with hands, while others use thin sticks, thick bones, soft mallets, combs, brushes and other specialized tools to produce a huge range of unique musical tones and effects. Some members of the Frame Drum family may even lack a striking head and rely entirely on rattles or other elements to produce their sound.

The 8DIO "Solo Frame Drums” library contains 2 styles of Irish Bodhrn, one African Tar drum and a North American tribal buffalo hide shamanic drum. We captured them in a close dry studio setting, covering both traditional and expanded playing styles and articulations. The first Bodhrn is nearly 3 feet wide, with a massive low end much like a concert bass drum. The second is a deep shelled medium sized drum with powerful, clear tonality. The smallest, a tar drum, has a crisp, sharp ring. Our Buffalo drum has a flat, tight sound with a massive subsonic bass blast.

The library is truly covers the traditional sound of resonating frame drums. The library was also designed to be used in conjunction with our "Epic Frame Drums” library, which is focused on capturing big sound ensemble frames and over 1.100 loops. The two libraries makes the perfect couple, since "Solo Frame Drums” covers some of the more intimate and deep sounds – where "Epic Frame Drums” covers more that brutal, big, bad-ass type of sound used in epic scores.

Precisionsound Persian Daf MULTiFORMAT Precisionsound Persian Daf MULTiFORMAT
The Daf (or Dap) is a large Persian frame drum used in popular and classical music. The frame is usually made of hardwood with many metal ringlets attached by hooks, and the membrane is usually goatskin. The Daf is used mostly in the Middle East and Central Asia, to accompany singing and performances on the tambur, violin, oud, saz, and kanun.

Dafs can be played to produce highly complex and intense rhythms, causing one to enter a trance and reach an ecstatic state. For this reason, they have always been connected with religion. In Iran, Sufis use Dafs during their spiritual chanting rituals.

Frame drums are most ancient type of musical instruments, with a simple structure yet a compelling sound. They have different sizes, and in traditional rituals the larger drums are played mainly by men, while the medium size drums are played mainly by women.

Our sampled Persian Daf was handmade in Iran by a master craftsman. It is quite large, with a diameter of fifty-five centimeters. Our Daf has seventy-two hooks, each of which is attached to a chain of four ringlets.
We recorded all the kinds of sounds you would expect from such a beautiful instrument: dums, teks, snaps, stopped hits, chains, rolls and scratches.

Persian Daf features:

123 unique hits, rolls, scratches and shakes
4 round robins and 4 velocity layers for all skin hits
618 stereo 24-bit WAV samples
1 program for NI Kontakt 3+ with scripted performance controls and GUI
1 program for NI Kontakt 2
1 program for Logic EXS24

The total size of the library compressed is 246 MB.
All formats are included when you buy Persian Daf
Ableton Session Drums Multimic v9.1.32873 for Ableton Live v9 x-DVT Ableton Session Drums Multimic v9.1.32873 for Ableton Live v9 x-DVT
Session Drums Multimic is a meticulously recorded library of acoustic drums that reproduces the nuances of a recording session and puts you in the engineer's seat. Session Drums gives you full control of the close mics for each drum as well as the overheads and room mics, so you can craft the perfect drum mix.

Session Drum Multimic contains nearly 8 GB of drum samples. Each drum has been recorded from different microphone positions - close, overhead and room - allowing you to dial in just the right amount of each. For added realism, each drum also includes "bleed" samples, which let you mix in the ambient resonance of the snare. You can choose a variety of sticks, mallets or brushes and even different types of kick drum beaters.

Session Drums Multimic includes 14 Drum Rack presets. Within the Drum Racks, each drum and microphone has a separate channel, so you can conveniently mix, add effects and swap drums to customize your kit. For instance, you can load up a brush kit, replace the snare, play the ride cymbal with a mallet, drop the close mics out of the mix (leaving just the overhead and room mics), add a little bleed to the mix from the mic placed below the snare, tune the kick drum down a bit, or customize any other way you can imagine.

Session Drums Multimic was created in collaboration with Chocolate Audio.
Modwheel Angklung KONTAKT Modwheel Angklung KONTAKT
ANGKLUNG is the third release in the Creative Differences series, a percussion instrument library that focuses on quality, organic percussion sounds recorded and designed for the Kontakt user.

Following in the footsteps of HUMDRUM and THE BENDS and WORLDLY GOODS it features a collection of 24 tuned Bamboo Angklung.

The Angklung is a musical instrument from Indonesia now popular throughout South East Asia. Made of two to four bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. The tubes are carved to have a resonant pitch when struck and are often tuned to octaves. The base of the frame is held in one hand, whilst the other hand strikes the instrument. This causes a repeating note to sound.

ANGKLUNG Highlights:

23 Kontakt patches of single hits, rhythms, rattles and effects.

1570 samples recorded at 24-96 kHz with contact and stereo microphones.

We're not sure what the standard Angklung set is made up of but ours has the following...

18 Angklung that have 2 bamboo rattles that play an octave apart.

6 Angklung that have 3 rattles each that play a tonic, major 3rd and a fifth. The Major chord Angklung have been kept as separate patches

The single patches have 10 round robins of both up and down playing. The up stroke plays on key release and the volume of this stroke can be adjusted using the mod wheel.

Angklung -The Bamboozler also features a few patches that aren’t bamboo derived. You also get The Bambonezler a patch made up of bones, shells and seed pods.

The Bamstonezler a patch of slate stone hits that have been tuned and will play chromatically.

Features:

23 Patches of Tuned Bamboo Angklung

24bit 96kHz Multisamples (1570 samples)

2.58GB Core Library (1.4GB via lossless compression)

Note: Requires Full Version Kontakt 5.3.0 or higher
