Wormstorm Industries Arcus V1.0 KONTAKT DVDR-DISCOVER
Arcus is a 'Cinematic Tool' used to create Cinematic 'Spread Effects' used in composition. To create it we recorded over 3 hours of Double Bass and Violin. The end result is a moody instruments that allows composers to effortless move between keys and chords, as well as build tension.

Arcus contains a wide variety of deeply sampled violin and double bass glissandi. Glissandi is the plural of glissando, which is a classical string instrument technique by which the player gradually slides their finger along a string while they are playing, from one note to another. This creates a note which gradually increases or decreases in pitch, depending upon which direction they move their finger.

This technique was very popular in avant-garde music for the 20th Century, and also suits the mood and atmosphere of contemporary sci-fi and and thriller-esque film scores.

We've arranged the glissandi into two overall groups convergent and divergent. The convergent samples start on various G sharps and C sharps, in a variety of octave positions, which either ascend and descend in pitch towards the notes that are held down on your MIDI controller.

MIDI note C0 acts as a keyswitch which, when depressed, activates the ascending convergent samples. Likewise, c#0 activates the descending samples and D0 activates both groups to converge on the held notes from both above and below.

Once the samples arrive at the held notes they will continue to sustain until the notes are released.

The divergent samples work like the convergent ones, but in reverse. The held notes are initially sustained and then diverge away towards various C sharps and G sharps, which in sustain until the notes are released.

The ascending divergent samples are activated by MIDI note F0. G0 activates both, for a blend of ascending and descending divergent samples.

The MOD wheel is used to crossfade between double bass and violin samples and also allows for a blend of the two for a larger ensemble sound.

There are additional 'short' samples at the top end of the MOD wheel, available only on the convergent samples.

These end on a short staccato note once the held note is reached, as opposed to continuing on an indefinite legato loop.

Stradivari is a name synonymous with quality. The Stradivari Violin is regarded by experts as the best violin ever made and . a genuine Stravidivai violin is worth millions. An instrument
of this distinction required a unique way to faithfully capture and recreate its sound quality and playability. -Sonic Morphing- technologies provided the answer. Morphing describes what can be seen in motion pictures where there is a gradual transformation from one image into another. This basic concept has been applied to sound samples allowing sound samples to morph into each other seamlessly.

With the Stradivari Solo Violin, using exclusive "harmonic alignment" technology, you can seamlessly morph between different dynamics and hear authentic timbre changes as notes become louder or softer. Sophisticated modal resonance technology allows you to control the onset, intensity and rate of vibrato, impart portamento and much more. In addition, a powerful AI midi processor allows you to change or create articulations in real time, change the type of attack or bow direction, impart legato, play trills & tremolo and have an infinite variety of playing possibilities at your fingertips. All this in real time!

The result of these technologies is extraordinary levels of realism, expressiveness and virtusosic performance capabilities in a way that preserves the natural characteristics of the Stradivari Violin. This instrument leaps to life beneath your fingertips!
Simtek’s Killer Boomers Sample Pack MULTiFORMAT Simtek’s Killer Boomers Sample Pack MULTiFORMAT
A sample pack containing 185 high quality files of seven different kicks, multisampled and covering bass notes down from C2. There are at least two octaves worth of samples for seven different styles of kick, all inspired by the classic Roland TR-808 boom. These samples have been meticulously synthesized and processed, and are recorded with plenty of headroom so you can gel them in whatever mix you would like to put them in. Each different kick features different tail lengths, harmonics and dynamic behavior so you can pick just the right kick for your track. There are also seven sampler instruments premapped for Live, Kontakt, and Logic users out there, for easy plug and play usage.

Why not just get an 808 sample and pitch it, you ask?
Depending on the quality of the sample, pitching an 808 sample can sound pretty terrible. Some are low bitrate, and do not transpose well, some have tape distortion or some other analog effect applied and when pitched sound off. Sometimes, you just want a short tail, and pitching samples up results in an unuseably short kick; while pitching them down results in distortion and a longer tail that you desire. This pack contains one sample for EVERY note at least two octaves below C2, so sample stretching is no longer necessary.

This sample pack contains:
185 x 32 bit .wav files
185 x 24 bit .aif files
7 x sampler instruments

A Unique Bowed Glockenspiel Sample Library KONTAKT A Unique Bowed Glockenspiel Sample Library KONTAKT
The Rosinspiel is a glockenspiel that has been played with a bow instead of a mallet.

It has a very unique soft, glassy like sound and its an incredibly unusual sample library – perfect for orchestral and underscore music.

The Rosinspiel is glockenspiel played with a bow instead of being struck with a mallet. The result is an unusual, silky sounding instrument with an almost ethereal string like sound.

The staccato samples sound like a celeste with a softer attack, while the sustains sound like a glass armonica with slight bow noise. The samples are tuned to match OrchestralTools’ The Glock.

Recorded with a close mic in 24 bit Mono

The Rosinspiel was close mic’d and recorded in mono as 24bit WAVs. Each sampled sustain is held for 8 seconds or longer with three dynamics recorded for each sustain. Crossfading is controllable via the mod wheel. – The physical instrument’s range is from G3-C6. The virtual instrument’s range is C3-C6.

In total there are 99 sustain samples with 3 velocity layers and 1xRR and 155 staccato samples with 1 velocity layer and 5XRR. It comes with 3 patches – bowed sustain, bowed sustain loop (credit to Park Bench) and staccato.
Tonehammer Alien Drum Vol.1 KONTAKT DVDR-DYNAMiCS Tonehammer Alien Drum Vol.1 KONTAKT DVDR-DYNAMiCS
The Alien Drum (aka Hang Drum – trademarked by Pan Art) is a unique tone based percussion instrument, which is almost impossible to come by, since there is only one maker in the world and less than 1000 drums in circulation. The instrument has a soft, sorrowful, melancholic tone to it and is a perfect companion for emotional or ambient type of scores. The Tonehammer Alien Drum is unique in the sense it was recorded at an average of 15 velocity layers and with 10 round-robin repetitions pr. layer/note, so you will never experience any repetition in the articulation.

We used custom microphone set-ups to capture the delicate resonance both inside and outside the drum, since the resonance defines the true sound of the drum. Additionally we sampled multiple playing techniques with fingers, palm, slaps, hand brushing and the back-side of the drum, which has the similar properties to the Udu. Multiple versions of all multis allow for a variety of ways to switch or fade between articulations while playing.

Tonehammer Alien Drum Facts:
Single finger tap on all 8 notes (including ding): 12 – 20 velocity layers, 10x round-robin
Single finger mute on all 8 notes (including ding): 12 – 20 velocity layers, 10x round-robin
