Beautiful Hammered Dulcimer with a Rich & Sweet Sound KONTAKT
Charles’ Dulcimer is a beautiful Hammer Dulcimer made of solid wood with 9 courses of strings on the treble bridge and 8 courses of strings on the bass bridge, recorded by Luis Filip Costa. It has two octaves and a sweet, rich and resonating sound.
The instrument was extensively sampled with three different mic positions: a close perspective, a room and an ambient/hall perspective at the Coomberhust Studio Concert Hall at Kingston University.
Beautiful Darabuka Drum Library V.1.1 Lite MiDi EXS24 KONTAKT
This is a sample library of a beautiful Darabuka that I’ve received as a gift and thought it would make a great addition to use in my projects, especially since I’ve sampled certain articulations that I mostly use. This Darabuka was recorded with 4 dynamic layers per articulation and with 2 dynamic layers for the rolls. I haven’t recorded any RRs, but you’ll find that there are enough articulations and velocity layers to create a fairly realistic performance with it.
The Darabuka was captured in mono using the AKG 420 Perception microphone, which really brought out the clarity of the instrument while retaining the body. I’ve included a MIDI file performance using the instrument, which will give you an idea of how to use the instrument.
I’ll be further expanding on this instrument in the future by recording lots of Round Robins than I originally did, more articulations, and a couple more mic positions. In the meantime, please enjoy using this simple but articulate instrument!
4 Dynamic Layers per Main Articulation & 2 Dynamic Layers per Roll & Hit
Contains 12 samples in 44.1 / 24 bit Mono WAV & NCW lossless compression format
Tonehammer Didgeridoo KONTAKT-DYNAMiCS
Didgeridoo (aka Didge) is an Australian Aboriginal wind instrument dating back over approx.1500-2000 years. The instrument is made from Eucalyptus logs hollowed out by termites and is widely regarded as one of the oldest woodwind (aerophone) instruments in existence. Tonehammer recorded two different Didges for maximum user flexibility. The first one was is an original Eucaplyptus log and the second one is modern version made from PVC pipes. The library contains over approx. 500MB of samples and programs contain modwheel controlled time-stretching and sample offset options allowing users to get more flexibility out of the samples. The Didges come at two different mic (close/medium) distances and a far mic for our dual-didge FX group. Didge 1 is close mic and Didge 2 is medium mic.

EWQL Symhonic Orchestra Gold Play Edition (Uncracked)
Recorded by 11-time Grammy nominated classical recording engineer Prof. Keith O. Johnson, the EASTWEST/QUANTUM LEAP SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA is the most awarded orchestral collection ever, including winning Sound On Sound's Reader's Choice Award an unprecedented 3-times, and the first orchestral collection to be recorded in a "state of the art" concert hall where orchestras mainly perform.
To achieve the feel of a live concert hall performance, each instrument and section was recorded with three mic positions, close, stage (conductor‘s position) and hall. By selecting different mic positions, users can mix these sounds together to create any kind of natural ambience their project requires. This eliminates the need for artificial reverb.
The EASTWEST/QUANTUM LEAP SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA eclipses all others with the highest level of fidelity and realism. Get that big "Hollywood Sound" film/tv/games directors and producers seek "out of the box", no other orchestral collection comes close or is as easy to use!
For those who own the library or want to download it before subscribing to Composer Cloud.

Cinematique Instruments Hammered Dulcimer
The hammered dulcimer is a stringed instrument with 31 string pairs stretched over a trapezoidal shaped sound box. Usually, the hammered dulcimer is set on a stand in front of the musician, who holds small wooden mallet hammers to strike the strings.
The dulcimer has two bridges, a bass bridge near the right and a treble bridge on the left side. The bass bridge holds up bass strings, which are played to the left of the bridge. The treble strings can be played on either side of the treble bridge, playing them on the left side gives a note a fifth higher than playing them on the right of the bridge.
The strings of a hammered dulcimer are found in pairs, two strings for each note. Each set of strings is tuned in unison and is called a course. As with a piano, the purpose of using multiple strings per course is to make the instrument louder, although as the courses are rarely in perfect unison, a chorus effect usually results like a mandolin..
We recorded the hammered dulcimer in two microphone positions. At the top of the instrument we placed - in a ms stereo set-up - a pair of Neumann U87s and at the bottom we put a single condenser. These two positions are covering a wide range of sound and you are free to mix them at your own requirements. We played the hammered dulcimer in minor thirds and concentrated mainly on three different articulations. Firstly we recorded the „normal" notes which means that we hit the strings with the typical small wooden mallets, we called this articulation „Mallet". Furthermore we struck the strings with a drum stick which we called „Sticks" and finally we recorded an articulation where we struck the strings with a timpani mallet and damped the strings with the palm of the hand which we named „Muted". All these articulation were recorded in 4 round robin variation and up to 4 velocity layer.
Beside this we cared most about producing the typical hammered dulcimer tremolo. Thus we equipped the instrument with two different ways to produce this roll alike tremolo. The first option to generate the tremolo will be achieved by duplicating each already played note when releasing the key. This lets you exactly control the velocity and tempo of the tremolo. The other and more easy way to produce the tremolo uses the modwheel. By turning the wheel you control the tremolo tempo from slow to fast. In order to avoid sounding too artificially we included a random factor which automatically affects the tempo and the velocity which results a very organic tremolo which lets you easy switch between single notes and tremolo rolls. Furthermore we added several functions and effects such as the control of reverb, delay, decay, distortion or octave which expands the entire sound of the hammered dulcimer and gives you a lot of options.
All in all we came out with an instrument which enriches your music with a nice and organic feel whether you used it as a solo or just as a background instrument.
One complex patch including three articulations and advanced scripting. Approx. data 2.5 GB (1.4 GB compressed). For more details please read the . reference manual.

Tonehammer Zitherette KONTAKT-DYNAMiCS
This enchanting little instrument is a simple 8-string fretless zither, roughly 12 x 20 inches in size. Zithers are a broad family of hollow-bodied string instruments common throughout all of Europe and Asia. Variants range from the dulcimer to the Koto, with countless other flavors unique to each region and culture. Common to each of them is the arrangement of multiple strings over a neck-less sound box. The oldest known variant of the zither family dates back to 4th century B.C China, while new additions continue to spring up to this day.
