Logic Pro X is the most advanced version of Logic ever. Sophisticated tools for professional songwriting, editing, and mixing are built around a modern interface that’s designed to get creative results quickly and also deliver more power whenever it’s needed. Logic Pro X includes a massive collection of instruments, effects, and loops, providing a complete toolkit to create amazing-sounding music.

Logic Pro X for Mac has been updated to version 10.3, introducing new features, a refreshed interface, and Touch Bar support, allowing the Touch Bar on the 2016 MacBook Pro to be used for music editing. The Touch Bar features quick access to navigation tools and Smart Controls, plus it can be used for playing and recording instruments using a piano keyboard or drum pads.

A new Track Alternatives feature lets users create and switch between different playlists of regions and edits, and Selection-based Processing lets users apply Logic or third-party plug-ins onto one or more audio region.

With iOS integration, Logic Pro X users can also add new tracks to Logic sessions from their iPhone or their iPad when away from their Mac, and a new share option lets users upload GarageBand-compatible versions of Logic projects to iCloud that can be opened on iOS devices. New recordings can be added via GarageBand on an iOS device and then synced back to Logic Pro X when the project is opened on a Mac.

The Unfinished Omnisphere Colossus II Patches and Multis for Omnisphere 2 The Unfinished Omnisphere Colossus II Patches and Multis for Omnisphere 2
Omnisphere Colossus II is a collection of 400 patches and 70 multis for Omnisphere 2.

This library is the follow-up to my 2016 best-seller, Omnisphere Colossus, and is aimed at providing great sounds for cinematic action and underscore. Like it’s predecessor it is inspired in particular by the music of Harry Gregson-Williams and James Newton Howard, resulting in a soundset that is packed with kinetic energy, dark atmosphere and driving pulse.

Colossus II expands on the original, providing both more of the same and also zeroing in on a few sonic areas that needed focus. In particular there are more percussive loops, cinematic hits, sombre textures, as well as more light/organic sequences.

At its heart, Colossus II is bristling with punchy, vibrant drama and sophisticated, subtle tension. As ever there are a raft of suspenseful and dramatic grooves and arps; esoteric and epic pads and soundscapes; booming and striking basses and drums; plus widescreen guitars, emotive pianos, hybrid bells, and all sorts of pulsating and moody noises.

This soundset is inspired by soundtracks such as Deja Vu, The Martian, Phone Booth, The Equalizer, Man on Fire, Bourne Legacy, Salt, Michael Clayton, and Nightcrawler, whilst also keeping an eye on a few other favourite modern scores, to make sure Colossus II provides you with sounds that are classic, contemporary and forward thinking

This fantastic video tutorial series is the easiest way to learn about the many features of your M3! Within the "real-world" context of developing and editing a combi, you'll be introduced to nearly all facets of the M3, from selecting and zoning programs, adding and configuring effects, assigning KARMA features to configuring all the sliders and left-hand controllers.

Using Korg's M3 Editor software, KARMA Sound Set Programmer Scott Raposa and KARMA Developer Stephen Kay start with a blank slate (an initialized combi) and take you step-by-step through the process of completing "House 101" - a completely finished KARMAfied Combi. With an easy to understand, step-by-step presentation format, they then teach you how to edit it to your liking, record it in the sequencer, and create a stereo WAVE file from it.

The Unfinished The Snarling Patches for Zebra2, ZebraHZ and Massive H2P NMSV The Unfinished The Snarling Patches for Zebra2, ZebraHZ and Massive H2P NMSV
A year ago, I was working on my very first feature film score, a hugely enjoyable, independent British, horror comedy called The Snarling. The soundtrack has recently been mastered for release, so I thought it would also be fun to make the synth sounds I designed for the score available too.

The Snarling soundset contains synth patches for Zebra2, ZebraHZ and Massive. There are 100 each for the two Zebra synths and 50 for Massive, totalling 250 patches.

These patches have been designed to create driving, cinematic thrills as well as ethereal, atmospheric horror. Both dynamic and creepy, The Snarling soundset is full of action basses, organic sequences, dark pads and chilling soundscapes.

The Massive sounds provide useful, digital bite, that allows them to easily cut through the mix, whilst the Zebra sounds bring a lovely, widescreen, analogue, organic edge. All of these sounds were designed to supplement the predominantly strings and percussion soundtrack, adding a very useful blend of cutting edge sonics and complex, but subtle, haunting ambience.
